Sculptra™ - 2x5ml

• Composition & Form: Supplied as a dry, lyophilized powder in sterile glass vials. Each box contains 2 vials of 150 mg Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), 90 mg Sodium carboxymethylcellulose, and 127.5 mg non-pyrogenic mannitol.
• Mechanism of Action: Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid fillers which provide immediate mechanical volume, Sculptra acts as a biological trigger. The injected microparticles induce a controlled sub-clinical inflammatory response, recruiting macrophages and fibroblasts to deposit a brand-new matrix of endogenous collagen over 4 to 6 weeks.
• Clinical Protocol & Reconstitution:
• Requires a standard reconstitution period of 24–48 hours prior to use with Sterile Water for Injection (SWFI) to ensure complete, uniform hydration of the microparticles.
• Typically added with 1–2 mL of Lidocaine to maximize patient comfort during deep dermal or periosteal injection.
• Recommended treatment course: 2 to 3 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, utilizing a cross-hatching or fanning technique.
• Post-Care Directive: To guarantee uniform particle distribution and prevent the formation of subcutaneous nodules or granulomas, clinicians must instruct patients to strictly adhere to the "5-5-5" rule: massage the treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 consecutive days post-treatment.
